Website Design, Marketing & Publicity for an Art Gallery
The Society of Bluffton Artists is a non-profit organization with a gallery and Center for Creative Arts. They offer featured artist exhibits, fundraisers, workshops, scholarship programs, after-school programs and summer camps. Bragg Media redesigned their website and logo. We also provide ongoing website hosting and maintenance, public relations, marketing and creative support.
The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) has a popular art gallery in Old Town Bluffton that tourists love. However, they struggled to make an impression with locals and tourists in an ever-changing technological landscape. With new exhibits, classes, fundraisers and other events happening each month, they needed someone to manage their media buys, provide creative deliverables and submit press releases to local media. Their website also was outdated, difficult to navigate and contained conflicting information.
The SOBA gallery and the Center for Creative Arts are in a high traffic location in the hub of the growing art district in Old Town Bluffton. The organization receives Reader’s Choice Awards from local publications for “Best Art Gallery” and continue to attract new members who volunteer for the organization. SOBA offers a unique opportunity for artists, teachers and students to network and to learn through classes taught by award-winning artists.
Bragg Media helped put The Society of Bluffton Artists (SOBA) on the right path by initially organizing and streamlining their marketing efforts:
- ongoing media buys with graphic design;
- established Featured Artist publicity protocol with turnkey printing process and discounts with a local printer;
- increased Facebook marketing and creation of an Instagram profile;
- uncovered more than 1,000 emails from the website previously not used in their email database
The most important undertaking was creating a newly designed website with a brand identity that checked a lot of their boxes: more modern design, clean and clear information organization and new messaging that reflected the organization’s core values. We worked closely with key SOBA representatives to develop a website program as unique as their organization.
Bragg Media solidified SOBA’s reputation as a leader in the local art community with consistent press coverage in major local newspapers, magazines and TV. With our help, SOBA has secured funding from the Town of Bluffton to help support their organization while continuing to attract new artist members in the local community.
The newly redesigned website has become a cornerstone for how the non-profit organization operates. Local artists can learn more about becoming a member and members can learn more about what activities they’d like to be involved in. The website’s highlights also include:
- a membership directory
- landing pages for the gallery and the Center for Creative Arts
- more exposure for “in the news” blogs that showcases their earned media awareness
- modern responsive design
- a cleaner brand identity
It is key for The Society of Bluffton Artists to have a public relations person who is respected in the market we serve. Bragg Media is. Bragg Media reached out to businesses who we never would have thought would be good prospects to promote the SoBA gallery and the Center for Creative Arts.
